ABOUT THE PROJECT
The objective of this assignment is to identify and deploy qualified consultants to conduct LMA In-Country Assessments (ICA) in the following countries:
- Chad (French-speaking required)
- Central African Republic (CAR) – (French-speaking required)
- Nigeria – (French-speaking required)
- Madagascar – (English-speaking required)
- Nepal (English-speaking required)
Consultants will support field-level assessments, ensuring accurate data collection, verification, and actionable insights to strengthen supply chain performance.
Travel to multiple regions and facilities, including remote areas, is required.
Project: P8. Last Mile Assurance (LMA) In-Country Assessments (ICA)
Position: P8. Field Auditor / Consultant – Health Supply Chain & Last Mile Assurance (Immunisation)
Key Responsibilities
Consultants will be responsible for the following:
1.Preparation:
- Participate in briefing and orientation sessions;
- Support planning of field activities, including facility selection and logistics
2.Field Implementation:
- Conduct on-site visits across multiple levels of the supply chain; Perform: Physical stock counts, Stock data reconciliation, Verification of commodity flow across supply chain levels.

- Assess: Inventory levels and stock status; Storage conditions and compliance with good practices.
- Identify and document: Discrepancies and data inconsistencies; Stock-outs, overstocking, and risks.
- Provide on-site guidance and basic capacity support to facility staff.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry using standard tools.
3. Reporting & Close-out
- Support development of recommendations and final outputs
- Validate completeness and accuracy of collected data
- Contribute to summary of findings and key observations
Deliverables
- Completed data collection tools and datasets
- Verified inventory and assessment records
- Fieldwork updates (as required)
- Inputs to: Summary of findings; Final assessment report and recommendations
Duration & Level of Effort
- Approximately 15 working days per assignment, including: Fieldwork; Preparation and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in: Reproductive health commodities; Health supply chain; Immunisation or public health programmes.
- Proven experience in: Physical stock counts; Inventory reconciliation; Multi-site field assessments
- Technical Skills: Inventory and data management; Supply chain assessments and verification; Familiarity with health supply chain systems.
- Analytical & Reporting: Strong analytical skills; Ability to synthesize findings into practical recommendations; Clear and structured report writing,
- Tools: Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs; Experience with data collection tools is an asset
- Experience working at health facility level, including peripheral facilities
- Ability to operate independently in field conditions
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Availability for short-term assignments (~15 working days)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in: Supply chain audits or similar assessments; Large-scale health programmes
- Knowledge of: Vaccines and cold chain systems
- Experience in: Fragile or hard-to-reach environments; On-site mentoring or capacity building
