Job title: Recruitment of Human Resources Intern (Cotonou, Benin)
Location: Cotonou, Benin
Purpose
The Human Resources Intern provides essential operational support while gaining comprehensive, hands-on exposure to the employee lifecycle within an international consultancy. This role focuses on assisting with the practical execution of talent acquisition, maintaining meticulous HR documentation, and supporting internal coordination efforts. By contributing to staff engagement initiatives and employer branding, the intern helps sustain a positive, multi-cultural workplace culture. Ultimately, the position serves as a bridge between academic learning and professional HR practice, ensuring administrative efficiency while developing the foundational skills necessary for a career in global human resources management.
Responsibilities
1. Global Talent Acquisition
- Assist in posting job vacancies on recruitment platforms and social media channels.
- Support the organization and screening of candidate applications.
- Assist in scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Maintain and update recruitment trackers and candidate databases.
2. HR Administration
- Assist in organizing and maintaining HR documentation and employee records.
- Support preparation of basic HR documents and templates.
- Update internal HR databases and trackers when required.
3. HR Projects and Activities
- Support internal HR initiatives, staff engagement activities, and HR projects when required.
- Assist in preparing recruitment or employer branding materials when needed.
4. Other Tasks assigned by HR Manager
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the HR team.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor as part of the learning process.
Qualifications, competencies and experience
- Final-year student or fresh graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related social fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Good written and verbal communication in English and French.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
