Job title: Recruitment of Human Resources Officer (Cotonou, Benin)
Location: Cotonou, Benin
Supervisor: Human Resources Manager
Purpose:
The Human Resources Officer ensure that an organization attracts, develops, and retains the right talent to achieve its strategic goals. This role focuses on the implementation of the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, offboarding. The officer also ensures compliance with labor laws and organizational policies, fosters a positive workplace culture, and supports leadership in building a motivated, skilled, and engaged workforce. Ultimately, the position bridges organizational needs with employee growth, ensuring both individual and institutional success.
Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition
- Fully execute end-to-end recruitment processes (job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, reference checks).
- Maintain and expand GaneshAID’s expert roster to support international consultancy and project staffing needs.
- Prepare and manage employment contracts and consultancy agreements.
- Onboarding and integrate new staff and consultants effectively.
- Note: this position will cover:
- Recruitment coverage: Entry-level to C-Management.
- Recruitment location: International (Asia, Africa, etc)
2. HR Administration
- Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy (contracts, personal files, HR systems)
- Prepare HR documents (contracts, amendments, letters, etc.)
3. Regulations, Compliance
- Manage the full HR contract cycle, including drafting, reviewing, renewing, and terminating employment and consultancy contracts in compliance with GaneshAID policies and legal requirements.
- Updating internal regulations according to the labor law;
- Coordinating with HR manager & HR members to review all HR system.
4. Internal Communications
- Plan internal events (birthdays, farewells, company trip and National Holidays).
- Flag any issues and misconduct behaviours.
- Address employee grievances and conflicts.
- Promote a positive work environment and ensuring employee satisfaction.
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Support payroll preparation and coordination.
- Administer employee benefits (insurance, leave, allowances).
- Ensure accuracy of attendance and leave records.
6. Performance Management
- Being the focal point for all employee evaluation processes;
- Implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
7. Learning and Development
- Identifying employees’ training needs and investigating courses;
- Organising training courses internally/ with training agencies;
- Assessing training courses efficiency.
Qualifications, competencies and experience
- Minimum of 03 years of professional experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or a similar administrative role.
- Strong understanding of Beninese Labor Law and local employment regulations.
- Proven experience in ensuring HR compliance and handling social security (CNSS) procedures.
- Full proficiency in both French and English is a must (written and spoken), as you will be working in an international environment.
- Strong expertise in Full-cycle Recruitment (sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy.
- Experience with HRIS or recruitment software is an advantage.
- Prior experience working within an International NGO or a multinational setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to navigate a multicultural team.

- Two-month probation with 100% of net salary.
- One-year contract with potential extension based on the working performance.
- Working time: 8:30 – 18:00, Monday – Friday (with flexibility);
