In October, GaneshAID led a transformative two-day training in the communes of Kétou and Pobè, Benin, gathering 51 participants representing community health leaders, local authorities, and performance coaches. The sessions introduced two innovative digital solutions — VacciForm et Coach2Perform (C2P) — designed to strengthen community engagement and enhance the quality of immunization services. Through hands-on use of digital tools, role-plays on family engagement and coaching, collaborative planning, and real-time data exercises, participants deepened their understanding of how to identify and support zero-dose children and gained confidence to apply modern, data-driven approaches to improving health performance.

Building Momentum through VacciForm
The first day focused on VacciForm, a digital platform co-developed by GaneshAID and the Immunization and Logistics Directorate (Direction de la Vaccination et de la Logistique) under the Ministry of Health. VacciForm was presented as a practical solution to sustain vaccination services and strengthen community participation amid persistent challenges — including a high number of zero-dose children, vaccine dropouts, limited cold chain capacity, recent outbreaks of polio and measles, and security constraints.

Community ambassadors — health workers, civil society representatives, journalists, and traditional and religious leaders — engaged in interactive discussions to clarify their roles in identifying and reaching missed children. Working in groups, they developed actionable community plans with clear indicators, reporting mechanisms, and timelines to guide follow-up.
Dr. Franck Hilaire Bete, Regional Director for Africa at GaneshAID, emphasized the enduring power of local leadership: “When communities lead, solutions last. Every ambassador here is a voice for the children who are still waiting to be reached.”

Coaching for Performance through C2P
Building on the momentum of community engagement, the second day introduced Coach2Perform (C2P) — a digital platform that reimagines traditional supervision as a dynamic process of mentorship, motivation, and continuous learning. Participants explored how C2P helps transform supervisors into performance coaches who drive meaningful change in service delivery and outcomes.
Through guided practice, they navigated C2P’s key features: digital supervision modules, real-time dashboards, performance improvement planning tools, and the integrated Mon Enquête en Ligne (MeL) system for field data collection. The shift from supervision to coaching encouraged participants to see themselves as partners in progress, fostering ownership and accountability at every level.
Dr. Tayewo F. Félicienne, Coordinator of the Pobè–Adjaouèrè–Kétou Health Zone, reflected on this transformation: “This is more than training; it is transformation. We are shaping coaches who turn good intentions into lasting impact.”

Collective Impact for Lasting Change
Participants praised the sessions for their practicality and interactive design, describing the experience as “a new energy” for local health systems. They committed to applying their new knowledge and tools to strengthen service delivery and called for continued collaboration and technical support to ensure lasting impact.
The workshop marked an important milestone for Benin’s immunization program. By empowering local actors and integrating digital innovations like VacciForm and C2P, GaneshAID and its partners are helping communities take greater ownership of their health systems, advancing equity, and ensuring that every child — no matter where they live — has access to life-saving vaccines.
