KLIC2025 – Marking a New Chapter of Collective Learning & Global Collaboration

This morning, GaneshAID are proud to announce that our largest annual event, KLIC2025, has officially returned – not just as a conference, but as a continuation of a journey we have been building collectively over the years. We warmly welcome representatives from 30 countries across 6 regions to bring diverse perspectives for deeper discussions, marked with inspiring opening speeches from UNICEF Vietnam, Gavi, Ministry of Health/EPI Chad, KLIC NGO, and CDC China.

From its very beginning, KLIC2025 was established as a platform where country leaders, global partners, and diverse organizations come together to exchange experiences and explore innovative solutions for stronger immunization systems. What makes KLIC2025 more than an event is its long-standing commitment to transforming knowledge into action. Ideas discussed here do not stop on stage; they travel back to countries, teams, and individuals who adapt them to fit their local context. This sense of ownership, where every participant has the right and responsibility to shape solutions in their own way, has always been a core value embedded deeply in GaneshAID’s work. As KLIC returns this year, we view it as a moment of transition and continuity, bridging what we have achieved with what we are yet to build.

Pioneering the opening ceremony, Dr. Antoinette Demian – Director of Expanded Programme on Immunization from the Ministry of Health/EPI Chad set the tone with a powerful reminder that not leaving anyone behind must remain the guiding spirit for the future of health equity.

This commitment was immediately echoed by Ms. Silvia Danailov, UNICEF Representative in Vietnam, who highlighted the heartbreaking reality of millions of children who remain invisible to health systems every year, and urged all of us to work together toward fairer, smarter systems that reach every child. Her message became even clearer when she affirmed: “Digital health is not a privilege only for a few. Health workers need to be equipped with digital skills and confidence, because systems are only stronger with people behind them.”

The call to reach every individual was further reinforced by Dr. Thierry Vincent, Senior Country Manager from Gavi, who shared Gavi’s ambition to sustain the momentum of reaching every child in every community, especially in countries affected by fragility and conflict. He emphasized: “Together with countries, partners, civil organizations, private sectors, and communities from the urban to rural areas, we will use the resources available to the fullest.”

Continuing this trajectory, Dr. Lin Lin, Chief Physician from CDC China, underscored the urgency of translating digital transformation into concrete, actionable steps that benefit real populations.

Closing the sequence of partners’ voices, Mr. Frank Bete, Regional Director of GaneshAID, grounded the mission of the event in three core pillars: equity, collective intelligence, and country capacity. He highlighted KLIC as a space for experimentation, where “people come here not to listen but to produce and co-design solutions to a real need.”

It is not merely the scale of participation that stands out, but the depth of expertise and leadership it brings: a gathering of voices that contribute, challenge, and co-shape the future of immunization together. It is under this shared understanding that GaneshAID’s Founder & CEO, Ms. Dorothy Leab, delivered her opening remarks, affirming our collective mission and setting a meaningful tone for the whole event: “We believe that the modern health system is not defined by technology. But it is the ability to reach all the margins, all the vulnerable population. We need to listen to communities, we need to collaborate with communities, and to convert data into responsible, informed decisions.”

Her words brought into focus what unites every participant, partner, and speaker at KLIC 2025: a commitment to solutions that not only innovate but truly serve everyone. Her message stands as the foundation on which the next days will build, guiding us toward meaningful, country-led pathways to a fairer and more resilient future.

“The days to bring to life, three days to bring to life with courage, intelligence and humanity the promise of the Hanoi Declaration. On behalf of GaneshAID, I wish you an inspiring, ambitious and deeply human KLIC2025. May this movement continue to grow, it’s only the starting point, to unite and to place health justice at the heart of innovation.

Welcome to KLIC2025 and welcome to the KLIC movement!”

With these words, KLIC2025 opens not only as an event, but as a collective journey. Together, over the next three days, we begin the work of turning vision into action, and action into lasting change.

Let the movement continue. Let the innovation deepen. Let no one be left behind.
