The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) in Benin faces ongoing challenges related to supervision, performance monitoring, and service quality, particularly in high-density urban areas such as the Cotonou 2–3 health zone. Performance-based coaching offers a practical approach to strengthen capacities and support continuous improvement in vaccination services.

In response, a catch-up workshop on the use of the Coach2Perform (C2P) solution was held on January 14, 2026, in the Cotonou 2–3 health zone. The activity was organised by the Chief Medical Officer of the Cotonou 2–3 health zone and led by GaneshAID. The session brought together key vaccination stakeholders to strengthen coaching practices and the practical use of the C2P solution.

The workshop focused on strengthening the capacities of vaccination coaches by reinforcing their understanding of performance-based coaching and supporting the practical use of the C2P digital solution. It provided a structured space for learning, discussion, and hands-on practice, supporting coaches in their day-to-day work with health teams.

Communal Chief Medical Officers, PEV managers, and vaccination coaches participated in the workshop, helping ensure alignment between coaching practices, local leadership priorities, and the operational realities faced by health facilities across the health zone.

Participants revisited key principles of performance-based coaching and explored how C2P can support coaching follow-up, performance assessment, and continuous improvement. Practical exercises and simulations allowed coaches to become more familiar with the application’s core features, including account setup, user roles, and key workflows.

By the end of the workshop, participants had strengthened both their technical understanding of the C2P solution and their ability to integrate it into routine supervision and performance management processes within the Cotonou 2–3 health zone.
