A Strong Start to a Bold Journey
Delivered over five full days, the workshop introduces essential leadership themes such as building a shared vision, forming high-performing teams, and leading strategic change in complex health systems.
The workshop offers an interactive learning experience, where participants apply tools and frameworks through real-world exercises, group discussions, and individual coaching. Each person develops a “Transformation Challenge” based on a real issue from their daily work and begins crafting solutions using practical change management strategies.
This hands-on approach creates a powerful learning environment where theory meets action. Participants gain the skills and confidence to drive lasting improvements in Pakistan’s health supply chain systems.

A joyful moment of shared insights and collective creativity
What Participants Are Learning
The programme guides participants step by step through a leadership journey. The learning path includes creating urgency, developing team effectiveness, understanding leadership styles, and applying strategic thinking. In later sessions, the focus shifts to leading change and sustaining transformation.
Each session is grounded in real-world application. Participants explore the difference between managing and leading, engage in advocacy planning, and receive coaching to tackle complex challenges with clarity and purpose.

Commitment in Action
Throughout the workshop, participants have shown strong engagement and ownership. Many described the sessions as practical, energizing, and inspiring.
“The high level of interaction made the workshop truly engaging. It created an open, welcoming space for dialogue.” – Muhammad Ameen, Deputy Program Manager – EPI Balochistan.
“The open, supportive environment helped me refocus my Transformation Challenge toward a goal that feels both achievable and impactful.” – Hafiz Muhammad Umar Amin, Senior Medical Officer – EPI Health department, Punjab.
Beyond their reflections, what stood out was the collective spirit in the room. Participants demonstrated a clear willingness to learn, openness to new ideas from facilitators and peers, and persistence when facing implementation barriers. Their commitment to completing the programme and earning the STEP Certificate speaks volumes about their drive to lead positive change.

Looking Ahead
After the workshop, participants will continue to refine their transformation challenges with ongoing coaching. These practical action plans will lead into STEP 2.0 Phase 3, where the focus shifts to implementation.
The programme’s influence goes far beyond the training room. STEP 2.0 is helping to embed leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking across the public health system in Pakistan.
