PURPOSE

GaneshAID is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Human Resources Manager to lead the global HR function as the organization expands operations across Asia and Africa. The HR Manager plays a central role in aligning people strategies with GaneshAID’s growth agenda, supporting a decentralized and multicultural workforce, and ensuring operational excellence across all HR domains. The HR Manager will lead strategic workforce planning, talent development, performance systems, and wellbeing initiatives while overseeing HR operations, compliance, and digital transformation. This position is both strategic and hands-on, contributing to the development of a resilient, inclusive, and impact-oriented organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Design and implement the global HR strategy in alignment with GaneshAID’s mission and growth objectives. 
  • Provide expert HR guidance to the CEO, COO, and BU Directors. 
  • Lead workforce planning, succession management, and organizational design. 
  • Ensure HR alignment during business development and project start-up phases. 

SOP Development and Implementation

  • Lead the creation, standardization, and periodic revision of HR SOPs across all functional areas.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure SOPs align with organizational strategy and legal requirements.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, incentives, and recognition programs.
  • Monitor SOP compliance and effectiveness, recommend and implement improvements.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and contract administration. 
  • Ensure compliance with Vietnamese labor law, donor requirements, and HR policies. 
  • Supervise and mentor the HR Talent Management Officer and HRIS/Data Support Officer. 
  • Collaborate with the HR & Admin Officer in Cotonou to ensure regional consistency. 

Staff Development & Wellbeing 

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and inclusion. 
  • Guide the development and implementation of learning plans and internal mobility frameworks. 
  • Lead wellbeing initiatives and implement staff engagement and retention strategies. 
  • Facilitate structured stay and exit interviews. 

HR Digitalization & Data Intelligence

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of the HRIS integrated with the GaIA platform. 
  • Monitor HR analytics (e.g., time-to-hire, retention, satisfaction) and advise leadership. 
  • Ensure secure digital recordkeeping and dashboard reporting. 

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. 
  • Solid understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and multicultural HR management. 
  • Proven ability to manage both strategic planning and operational execution. 
  • Experience in international organizations, NGOs, or consulting environments preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. 
  • Fluency in English required; French is an asset. 

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Probation with 100% of net salary;
  • One-year contract with potential extension based on the working performance;
  • Performance review once per year;
  • Working time: 8:30 – 18:00, Monday – Friday (with flexibility);
  • Days Off: Saturday – Sunday; holidays, Tet in accordance with Vietnam Labour Law and Christmas day;
