WHAT IS STEP 2.0?

The jointly coordinated STEP programme, also known as STEP 2.0, is a professional development tool that is specifically tailored to the needs of health supply chain leaders and managers in enhancing soft skills (leading change, team management, problem-solving, project management, etc.).

STEP 2.0 aims to:

  • Develop the leadership capabilities of public-sector supply chain leaders so that the country’s health supply chain can provide its population with the health commodities it needs;
  • Work with leaders to provide solutions to real supply chain problems that have defied resolution in the past;
  • Lead workplace improvements by focusing on transformation challenges and changes in supply chain management;
  • Complement national supply chain strategies by maximizing the effectiveness of the health supply chain workforce.

STEP 2.0 blends elements of self-paced learning, facilitator-led training, on-the-job application of leadership skills and coaching support from the private sector coaches.
