The Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) continuous improvement cycle is based on a thorough assessment of the supply chain performance to identify opportunities for improvement and to then leverage resources to implement those improvements. This process requires a long term engagement often involving several technical partners and stakeholders.
Cold Chain Equipment (CCE) is an essential component of the supply chains that ensure life-saving vaccines reach every child. CCE optimization platform has been created by Gavi that helps bring life-saving vaccines to every child. The Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) is conducted in country in order to review the vaccine supply chain system and to identify the strengths and weaknesses so that the improvement plans with targeted can be developed for implementation.
National Logistics Working Groups (NLWGs) are considered as one of methods for facilitating implementation of national immunization Supply Chain plans.
