The stakeholder mapping workshop was organized in Manila, the Philippines yesterday, 14 June 2018 under the framework of Gavi-sponsored business feasibility study (BFS) project to establish Regional Asia Pacific Centres of Excellence for health supply chain. The workshop is one of the stakeholder mapping activities in the Philippines which have done in the effort of GaneshAID team and a Filipino national field investigator.
The objective of this workshop is to present the key findings of the stakeholder mapping activity conducted in the Philippines to identify the business scenarios of RACE establishment in the Philippines.
The workshop welcomed 20 representatives from Philippines’ Department of Health, UNICEF, WHO West Pacific Regional Office (WPRO), private sector including Sanofi Pasteur, GSK, MSD and Zuellig Pharma. Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia was the possible organization of RACE in the Philippines attending the workshop.
The workshop included 4 presentations that provided participants with understanding of the RACE concept, the preliminary key findings of the BFS, results from the stakeholder mapping activity in the Philippines, and particularly sharing from the possible host about their added value and required investment for hosting a RACE.
The RACE model in the Philippines and business scenarios were discussed among participants in the workshop. Report of this workshop will be prepared by the national field investigator as an evidence for the final report of the BFS project.
